Hey everyone! This was my first crash ever:sad1. I will post pictures of the whole thing when I get them.

Yesterday I went on a ride with 6 other riders to prescott via Wickenburg. On the way up I got a bit too confident on the L side turns...which there were more of them than R turns...(my pipes are on the R btw). anyways, I made it all the way up, just scraping the pegs once. That should've slowed me down, but...

On the way down, just after granite creek, or whatever that park thing is... I was going way too fast and I even thought that maybe I should slow down because there were more R turns. Almost right away (after the park), there was a really good Left turn and then a sharp R turn right away. Well, I didn't slow down and there happened to be some cars up ahead and it was too late to brake at that point...my peg caught first and I knew what was happening. I pulled me R leg up so it wouldn't get caught as the bike slid away and I had my head up as I was sliding toward the guard rail. I slid right under and would've gone right over the edge had my face not hit the rail! Thank GOD I was wearing my leather jacket and helmet and hiking boots!

They cut all my clothes off, but at least I made them save my bra! and my pink scarf!

I was absolutely hysterical after I stopped! My L leg hurt soooo bad. Alma (one of the guys, he had a cruiser too) was right there and talked to me while we waited for the ambulance. The ambulance came and took me to Prescott hospital West. After the first set of x-rays, Rick and one other guy (don't remember his name) were there.

I have a lot of road rash on my legs, butt, and bruised ribs, and my left leg is sooo bruised up! My mom looked at it and said it looks like I'll have it for a few months....:shocked. The hospital put a splint on the L leg to keep the knee straight.

There was no broken bones, fractures, or sprains! I was extremely lucky! I am now more excited to get the Ducati!!!! I am thinking about doing the Kevin Schwantz suzuki school in Atlanta, GA. I've been wanting to do it for awile now, but I think I should before i get the Duc. I'm not done riding yet!

So, I'm in CA right now. I flew out this morning so I could get babied by my mom for awhile. Thank goodness it's spring break!

you are going to want to get that taken care of ASAP. Right now, your looking at at least 100-250 bux and its 30 dollars at least, every day it sits there.

i was just about to comment and say the EXACT same thing. id check with who ordered the tow of ur vehicle. if it was DPS, call them up (602-223-2000) and ask them their policy on towing a vehicle and tell them how u were involved in a bike accident near prescott and it got towed. i beleive that if the police order the tow, you dont have to pay to get it out.. BUT idk how much time they give you till its on ur dime.

you do have to pay to get it out, and they charge $65/hour for labor plus $3/mile that they tow it, and like $30/day to store it

My insurance called me today and they will get it towed back to PHX. the towing won't cost anything since I've got towing for the bike. They are going to put a value on the bike and give me the money to replace it which will go straight towards the ducati SS800!!!! YAY! Hopefully I get something out of it. The bike was worth 3k 3 years ago.

R6SNOB:
San Clemente is an awesome place! I love it here! and no, the bike is not ok. def not rideable! You can see that in the pics on page 3 of this thread.

Hey everyone!
I'm healing up really fast! I'll be back to riding soon! Yay!
My L leg is still looking bad and hurts a bit, but I'm able to hobble around without use of a crutch. I do have some weird numb spots on my leg. I got to go see the doctor about that. It's weird because there is no road rash on the left leg, just one wound and a bunch of bruises from the bike itself. I probably killed some nerves.

I just got the bill for my ambulance ride and it came to $1200. yikes. At least I didn't have a helicopter ride! I have no clue what all those x-rays are going to cost me yet. I have been in the process of getting some health insurance, but I make slightly more money than their minimums, so I hope I get approved....I'll find out on monday.

You guys will be the first to know when I get the Ducati! It'll be sometime this june/july-ish

White Spars is probably the most technical ride in AZ, and Yarnell Hill is no joke either. Many a more experienced rider has checked out in both places. Count your blessings. We're all very glad not to be hearing about this in the paper.

I have definetly been counting my blessings everyday! Especially after I heard about Keith! I'm glad I only came out with some bruises and road rash! When I get my Ducati, I don't know about doing that ride to Prescott again, unless I go slower.....
