Exhaust prices?

i just found out how damn expensive the two bros exhaust is for my bike (850-930)... why is it so damn expensive? my cars exhaust was 500 and has about 10 times the piping, larger muffler and a resonator... you could add in the header and high flow cat to it and be about the same price...

i cant justify spending 850 on such little amount.. my buddy works for a well known turbo development company who said he would weld me up and exhaust for the bike. i dont know if i should get some side pipes or get some 07 r1 pipes and have him weld them on...

yeah but bikes are a 1000 times more touchy when it comes to air flow and a/f mixture. Most cars you throw on aftermarket stuff and don't really worry about it. A bike is more specific in tubing and pipe angle, etc. Especially when it comes to things like intakes. Why do you think that MOST bikes run better with stock filter over running a K&N filter.

what you could do is get the r1 pipes, install race baffles and have him fab the mid pipe. Should net you some HP gain and those pipes with race baffles sound throaty...

i say this now.... but later on ill probably change my mind...

i dont care much about the performance gains, i guess the sound is all im after right now. since im still used to cars, the bike is rediculously fast (even though it wont even break into the 10s)

i just checked out the 06 R1 pipes and they are really nice
