Army, 31R10, SPC (P)...would have been E5 at 24 months from E1 but I had a Platoon SGT at Campbell who didn't like me because I was the highest ranked person with my Air Assualt wings besides him which made me Section "SGT" and he always wanted me to give up some of my guys for stupid fucking details which I refused to do...anywayz...yeah[/rant]

USS Wyoming (SSBN 742) Blue Crew; 7 detterent patrols; Kings Bay, GA
USS Columbus (SSN 762); 2 Western Pacific Deployments and 1 Eastern Pacific Deployment; Pearl Harbor, HI
MOS: 38B/4231/4232/ and about 3 others.
Currently: 414th CA BN; Baghdad, Iraq

The big army has made me appreciate the retarded navy, and even more so, the demented submarine community. It's not the service or the branch, its about the person next to you when the shit hits the fan.

hey punchit, on am currently in the Air Force, and love it. if you don't mind me asking why won't they let you be a firefighter. just curious. I probably wouldn't go firefighter any way, here pretty soon, most of the Air Force will be going Civilian Contrators. Is there another job you would want to do, look into maybe another career field that sounds interesting and let me know via pm and i can try and look into it for you. Recruiters tend to blow smoke of peoples butts to try and get them into the Air Force. let me know

Navy will let you be a firefighter. You'd be call a Damage Controlman. These are usually surface guys and shore duty based personnel. Experts in combating casualties such as fires, toxic gases, explosions, and other catastrophes. All the military recruiters will blow smoke up your butt, but just ask any military guy for opinions and even to go with you to a recruiter's office.

Air Force is in a Force cutback right now. Marine Corp and Army are hurting for people. Navy is holding its own. So, its something to think about.

Your the smart one, at least standing on this side of the fence. The military is not for everyone.
