Hey everyone -- I have to say it's about time I joined a message board like this. I have a 2001 R6 that I got directly from Yamaha through my connections at the now defunct American Roadracing magazine. I started on a moped and moved from Wisconsin to Arizona so I could ride every day. I have about 50,000 miles on it, ride it everyday and do occasional track days. I have ridden it to Laguna Seca (twice) from Phoenix and L.A. twice too. In my riding career so far I have eaten it 13 times (none very serious though..). I ride hard and party harder. I try to do most of my own repairs and maintainance when I can. (Although it always doesn't work out). My second gear is fucked (typical, so I hear) and now I'm having some power problems as well -- anyway, that is about it. This board is awesome and has already helped me immensely. Glad to be here.
