well to try and protect their product they use keys that are unique to each copy. as well as the activation codes and authentication codes, BUT there are some really smart people who can make programs to give us these codes without actually buying the product:smilecool (save a couple hundred bucks). as far as CS2 it was the latest version of photoshop untill today i think
