Hey everyone:
Just wanted to stop in and say hello. I'm brand new to street bikes (unless you count the motor scooter I had for a month when I was 13). However, I've ridden dirt off and on for a few years. I've been interested in street bikes for about 10 years now and finally bought my bike last week.

Oops. I guess I should tell a little bit more about my bike and myself. Picked up a 2007 R6. She's a sexy thing. I'm waiting on a fender eliminator kit, frame sliders, and alarm (seeing as she's sitting in my living room right now). I'll probably put in for some flush mounts and an integrated tail light as well. Probably a dumb thing for a new rider to do, but I researched the hell out of the topic, the bikes, the gear, understand the risks and am willing to deal with them. I guess the best thing to do after this is have some fun. I'll be in the MSF course next week.

best sentence out of your mouth. Learn to ride it the right way. There is a big difference between dirt and street handling

Welcome. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. . .you might get some flak, but there are no stupid questions, only stupid responses.

Took the MSF course over the weekend. Learned quite a bit, passed the tests, took the form to MVD this morning and got the endorsement. I'm legal.
