Anyone with an 07+ 600rr with aftermarket levers mind letting me try something.... I'm working on getting a handbrake on my bike, but the clutch is super hard to pull. If anyone has aftermarket levers such as asv, pazzo or crg, or anything similar, could I take the clutch lever off your bike, put it on mine and see if I like it. After I try it, I will put it back on your bike and buy you a coke. If anyone is game for this, let me know.....

I have one of those ez pull contraptions you put between the lever and the cable, felt like crap. The clutch engaged just barely off the grip. So, that sucked. I have a billet clutch lever, supposed to be the same as the msr....it was the same way, right off the grip and felt like crap. Went back to the stock one, felt good, but hard to pull once it was cut shorter to work with the handbrake. So, the only idea I could come up with is to use a set of asv's.....don't want to spend that much, but I've put alot of work into this so it needs to come out right....
I'm in Glendale, I see your in mesa.....figures....but if we can figure out a time....it will really help me out....let me know what you think.
Also, I think (not sure) that the f4i ones are different, however, wouldn't be opposed to giving it a shot. Wouldn't surprise me if it would "cross over"......I'll let you know if the other thing doesn't work.....
Btw...thanx to all so far

did u look at the link i gave you? its a whole clutch lever, it is the only way to go with ajustability and easy pull. if the clutch engages right off the grip you must adjust the cable tension.
those junk easy pull contraption box's that go in-line with the cable are garbage.
and asv/pazzo etc are just bulkier and dont change the easyness of pulling the clitch
this is actually what i put on every bike i own.. its the best http://www.warpedtoys.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=69435
and its only $50 (cheaper than ASV and PAZZO by far

Ya I looked at it. Do you have one I can try and see how it works? I will spend as much as I have to as long as its right when its done. I have bought enough as an experiment and not willing to chance any more money.
Tom, I'll pm you later today with my number. Honestly I'll need 15 minutes total.

I believe you. I just want to try any set up before I buy it. Putting this together has not been fun. Tons of clearance issues and parts being wrong size. Just a bunch of crap. Do you have one of those moose levers? I'm game to try it.

no i dont but i have 6 years of experience.. are you running a radial MC for the hb?

I have a msr you can try, BUT you gotta let me put it on, because they're super easy to strip out, I mean really, really easy to strip. hit me up tomorrow
ps- its about damn time you put that HB on, hahaa
oh and pazzos suck ass, for looks only.

Ive got a radial that i tried but had to go back to a 954 mc cuz of clearance...may try one of those magura radials, that are made for the handbrake side, not sure yet......we will see once I try Tanus' MSR.....

you wont have clearance issues with a radial and clutch lever like i showed you, it def helps to have aftermarket clip-ons though
buddha43

well I wish that I didn't have clearance issues.....when I had the radial on it hit the upper. because of the way the line and the banjo are angled out of it. A magura would be different, so that may be what I have to get. I have Full Throttle fork risers on it, with vortex clipons. Trust me, I'm fitting 10 pounds of shit into a 2 pound bag.....I've literally spent 4-full 8 hour days working on it....put it together, take it apart...adjust this...adjust that....its rideable again, but I don't like how hard the clutch is to pull and the clutch lever is super high.....so those are the two things I want to fix....once that is done its gonna be great.......

well your clutch lever is going to stay high uinless u use a radial, and if its a gsxr radial you need to grind it down a bit. and does it touch the upper at full lock?

hey eric, did that RSC come with a teflon spacer?
buddha43
11-28-2009, 05:10 PM
ya the RSC came with a teflon or actually I think it was made of delrin. I know he is making a bearing to take the place of the delrin, but I didn't like the pull anyway so I don't think I'm going to keep it. I'm gonna try the msr and go from there.
I used a 600rr radial mc, and the banjo hit the upper on the way to full lock. So, I have a 600rr radial and a 954 mc that I can use at the moment.....no gsxr parts.....I'd like to try a brembo or magura......maybe that will work better.....i don't know....lol
