CCS Race weekend - April 21st and 22nd at Firebird East

I'm sure a lot of you guys here watch motorcycle racing on TV, be it AMA, WSBK or MotoGP. You think that's fun? What's more fun is watching races in person. The CCS South West series is being run right here in AZ.

Do the names Mark Ledesma or Scott Jensen mean anything to you guys? Yup, these are some of the TOP privateers in the AMA series. They come out to Firebird to race. Watching these guys tear up the track with their CBR1000RR (Ledesma) and a traction controlled GSX-R1000 (Jensen) is just simply awesome. At every corner these guys are fighting to keep the front wheel down.

And then there's people like me. Just a newbie racer. I race my 2000 SV650 in the Lightweight classes and the action there isn't any less dramatic. Some of the closest dog fights go on in these races.

If you haven't heard about the races or just haven't though about coming out - you should. It's great fun. It's $10 to get in for the FULL weekend of April 21st and 22nd - with racing on both days (not usually the case). Come support your local racers. Support me! :D You get to roam the pits and you get to talk to everybody there. Everyone's friendly and always willing to answer question. You can stop by and talk to Jensen and Ledesma too! Very friendly guys, both of them.

If there's enough interest, I can get you fliers that will let you in for the full weekend for just $5 instead of $10. So, post up in this thread letting me know that you'll come to the races for sure, and we'll meet up before the races so I can hand you the fliers.

Alright guys - I'm getting a limited number of fliers printed up today. I'll have about 10 available, maybe more if I can swing it.

These fliers will get you into the pit area for $5 for two days of racing starting at 11:30 am going all the way till 4:30-5 pm.

First come, first serve. 1 flier per person. Post up here, and the first 10 will get them.

Day drinking? Officially? Not really. But, I have seen people drinking there. So, if you plan on it, you'll have to BYOB.

BTW, there will be a food vendor in the pits. You guys get hungry, you'll be able to get some food there.
