H i d kit

hi i ordered my hid kit and i got everything installed but im realizing they sent me the bigger ballast.does anyone know where to hide these bigger ballast or do i need to takel apart and send the kit back? my bike is an 06 cbr 600rr

OK, seriously. What brand did you get, what bulb did you get (4.3K, 5K...) and what size ballast did they send(35w, 55w...)?

I'm sure you could find a way to hide a larger ballast. But, running a larger ballast with a smaller bulb could be a problem. It could seriously reduce the life of the bulb. It could also increase the light scatter, which is already a problem putting any HID bulb into a halogen housing.

I would send it back and make sure I had the correct ballast.

I couldn't tell u a lot of info about it. I know its 10k bulbs. The bulb size are h7. The ballast are just normal size ones I guess u would use on a car its just hiding them. Everything else is good and works fine its just the dam ballast lol.

I just put 8000k on the Boosa and can't wait to try them out.. They are BRIGHT!

Took her out last night, turned on the high beam and started craqin' up laughin'...
They lit up street signs for a half mile, right in front of the Sheriff's station in front of SVC...LOL

This is true... the lower the "k" the brighter the light...

Depends that is a good rule of thumb but light output is measured in lumens. The more lumens the more light is out put. The K is just the color tempurature (IE what color it apperers)

I can't remember the exact numbers but I think a standard H4 or H7 halogen bulb is around a 3K with a lumen output around 1200. A 4.3K bulb output is around 3200 lumens. I think the 8K's are about 2500 and 12K's around 2000.
