So everyone knows I ride an 06 silver and black GG(which is ghetto gangsta for "Gixxer Grand")
I have been riding it for about a year now ( second bike ) and i noticed on the right side.... theres this little arm-bar lever thingy...
It kinda looks like the gear shifter on the left... but I tried pulling up with it to switch gears and it didnt move...
I am afraid to push it down... cause if you cant upshift with it.. I dont wanna know if you can down shift.. ( especially if I accidently did it withotu the clutch in)
it looks just like the silver lever in this pic..

Any help would be great!!!!!!!:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

You said 06 GG right? Then yeah, it's that OD shifter...think of it as geared NOS and if you shift/hit it just right, you can fly

I didnt know by bike came with NOS... just the sticker...

Yeah, but you have slam it hard, down-wards. To get the best result, try to get all of you weight on it, even if you have to stand up and lean a little to the right to make sure that every ounce of your body is concentrated on that little slab of metal. It's guaranteed to give you a ride of your life!

They were a few years back (probably before your time) but usually right there on Speedway, just west of a few of the dorms, don't remember which ones...but they took place at (I think) a Shell station...maybe it was a Circle K...meh, don't remember

My brother has lived down there for the last, oh I don't know, 8 - 9 years or so...when I was in the Army and I'd come home on leave I'd go stay down there with him for a few days here and there.

Yep definitely overdrive. Heres the manual from suzuki;
"Overdrive;
-To engage Suzuki overdrive - The lever is located on the right rearset. A swift and direct downward force will engage Suzuki overdrive. Note: The bike must be at speed in 6th gear for the overdrive to engage properly. Trying to engage overdrive in any other gear will cause the bike to act "funny" therefore only attempt to engage overdrive in 6th gear."
Straight from the Suzuki manual.
