coolant ratio?

coolant seems to be dirty, thinking the radiator I bought used may be to blame.

Do you guys recommend just running water wetter and distilled?

I cleaned my with water right out of the hose! Works great.

Flush it out and then one bottle of water wetter into the system and top off with 50/50 antifreeze mix if you go anywhere that gets hard freezes or 100 distilled water if you are going to stay in the valley

i run just straight distilled

for the love of god do run some water wetter or a little coolant in your system so your radiator doesn't rust the fuck out like my f2 was

Alum does not "rust" but running straight water is horrible for your pump, it needs lube. And coolant brings waters boiling point down with the help of a pressurized cooling system.

i have a bottle of engine ice. just forgot to put it in and its been fine lol

I ran water wetter and distilled last time. my temporary coolant overflow ( cough water bottle ) always seemed to get dirty though. I'm putting a real coolant overflow on and flushing the system out with a hose.

I guess I'll use water wetter and distilled again

I changed it out with water wetter and distilled water. I heard coolant lubes your water pump, by me just using water wetter and distilled water will that be sufficient?

ya the water wetter is the coolant so you will be fine.
