Friend of mine picked up an '09 zx6r today and I went with him to help load it up into his truck and unload it. *he is relatively familiar with bikes, but hasn't riden in a while* The dudes at kellys were cool, but their internet sales guy was at the Victory motors side. At first he was cool, but a fast talker. We went to check out the bike, and do the check list to show shit works. As they were doing that, I looked over the bike as well. I found a REALLY scuffed up front fender *it looked like they tried to sand it down and polish it, but the scratches were to deep* and not 1, not 2, but 6 paint chips on the tank. And a scratch about 1 1/2 inches long on the upper left fairing. *get to that later*

So I tell my friend about the fender and tank, dude going over the checklist was shocked and said he would b right back to see if they had another blue zx6r in stock to swap them out right then and there. Unfortunately they didn't. So the sales manager * Erick something or another, only Hispanic Erick there* comes out and looks at it and says he will order a new fender and tank for him monday. * I told my friend to get it in Writing before signing the delivery form. And he did*

While checking over the bike some more, I found that scratch on the upper left fairing. Thats when Erick became a dick. I informed erick of it and he said, "yeah, and?" I looked at him weird and said "and so it needs to be replaced along with the tank and fairing" he said no, thats not happening. I asked y, and he said "ur friend got a 10k bike for 6700" and I said "so, its still a NEW bike and shouldn't have imperfections". After that, erick just left.

He comes back with a thing on company letter head saying the fender and tank will b replaced. When the fairing issue came up, same bs. By then we had the bike loaded I to the truck and I asked y the scratch wouldn't b fixed. He said he will only talk to my friend about it. so I said, as a possible future customer, and someone who will posting on the net on different forums about this experience, I'd like to know. He just got more mad and said he will only talk to my friend and just turned his back to me. My friend was already to go and was on the phone with his dad telling him what's up *his dad deals with this stuff alot*

When we left, I decided I wanted to ruin this guys weekend, and called the victory store and asked for ericks supervisor, which was told there is none, just the owner kelly. so i asked for kellys vmail *it was past 5 and no one was there* but he said he doesn't have one. So I just asked when the owner would b in and set up a fake appointment with the owner to talk about this *called pretending to b my friend*

Not even 30 mins later, my friends dad calls him back, said he talked to erick, and the fairing will also be replaced. Kinda bs this had to all happen. Imo, id prob not buy from this place, or atleast not from that sales guy.

Not the first time I've heard such stories about Kelly's, unfortunately.
And always on bikes being sold out of there.

I will say their parts department has always delivered as promised.

I worked at kellys for 3yrs but that was along time ago an the sales staff is all new so I can't comment on them but I do know the owners name is not kelly . I do know that when you get a bike at a really good price its normally because there on sale an have a few blemish issues a friend of mine just bought a new bike that has some scuffs an stuff but that's why he got such a good price on it. Also kellys has a really good mechanic working there . All in all every dealer has issues but I hope your buddy gets it all taken care of
