View Full Version : Change brake pads before the track?

The front pads on my bike are down to about 1/4 life left. Wear wise I know I'll be fine running them, but then my buddy makes the comment "holy heat transfer batman!". So now Im wondering if its really going to make that much of a difference in how much heat the caliper and fluid is going to absorb. I tend to be pretty aggressive brake wise [my fav way to pass] so I know the brakes will be getting a workout. Should I swap em or stop worrying?

I think I'll just change em. I just did the lines so the master is completely full. If I replace them I'll have to suck some of the fluid out before I push the pistons back in and I can see that going awesome at the track.
