well my rear has like no tread so i figured it was time. I got a 120/70 front and a 180/55 rear Pilot Powers for $235 shipped to my door. Cant beat that price. http://www.lithiummotorsports.com/ is where i got them from. Cant wait to break in the new rubber. ill probably get them on like friday or saturday and have them mounted hopefully the same day

on that 04, with the 70 series front you will need to drop the forks about 13mm.....

i already have a 70 series but you can add a 4mm washer spacer into the rear shock/spring. With how it is setup it works out to put the suspension back into its stock geometery. I have a 70 right now and i need to do the washer. Many people do the rear as I would rather not mess with the fork height

You cant beat those Pilot Powers. Even in the rain they have phenomenal grip, especially if youre switching from 208's. i definatley noticed a difference. ENJOY! :D

has anyone ever changed like your back tire with out changing your front tire??????????
Blue Devil

i was going to do it but for $80 i decided to change both and keep the front that is on the bike now as a spare...
Id rather put on two new tires at once then one, but i am sure a ton of people put on only one at a time

I changed only my back tire over the summer. I did that only cause at thetime I didn't have enough to buy a front as well. Right now I have a Pilot Power on the back and a Dulop on the front which is soon to be a Pilot Power also.

good call man.....shimming the rear is so much easier than getting the front aligned the right way...

i love pilot powers, i usually throw a new set on every 2k miles (gotta love tire warranties) they can be a little slick for the first 100 miles or so, but once they are scrubbed in great grip!!!!
