So I take my bike to this shop right (shop will remained unnamed until this is resolved) so that they can change out the rear tire tomorrow while we're at the river. I leave the place around 4ish and walk my happy ass home...I'm chillin at home and around 6, my phone rings...it's the owner of the shop...here's how the conversation basiclly went:
"Hello Jonathan"
"Yeah"
"Hey, this is ------ from -------"
"Yeah, what's going on man?"
"So I don't know how to tell you this...but some chick knocked your bike over..."
Pause
Pause
"What?"
"Some girl on a beat to shit bike pulled in the bay next to yours and while she was getting off, well, she tapped your bike or something and yours went over."
Pause
"What?"
"She cracked your front faring and side faring and there are some other minor spots of damage...the paint got hurt too."
*At this point I'm about to blow up*
"I know this is real shitty man, I wish she had hit my bike *Duc* and taken it out, but we have already been in contact with her insurance, they are paying for EVERYTHING to be fixed including repainting the bike to how it was before it hit the ground."
After that I calmed down a bit and talked with him like normal...after the phone conversation I found myself walking back over to the shop to actually see the damage. Overall, the damage isn't as bad as I was expecting, but I did make sure to go over the bike inch by inch and point out every little thing that had any type of scratch, nick, or smudge of shit.
Once we had gone through a walk around the bike...I sat and chilled with two of the three owners of the shop and just shitted a few hours away with them. At this point, anything that the insurance company doesn't cover that I want done with the bike...well...the small things they will pay for and anything else will be at cost with no labor.
So yeah, I will keep everyone up to date on what's going on because this is still a shitty situation and it could go either way...good or fuck.

You should find the broad and kick in her taco after you give her a tittie twister. . .but she might follow you home so just kick her in the taco.
Sorry about the bike bro. At least your bike is at the shop. My still on stands waiting for me to give her some lovin'.

thats bullshit... you dont leave done bikes in a bay where other rides can put bikes. If it is inside the facility no one other then workers should be touching or moving bikes. Also i find it hard to beleive that it just got knocked over by some chic. It takes a good bit to knock over a bike...

I'll be going to jail if they don't lol
the bank of jew will offer an interest free loan for bail on that one.
And what was that about they will pay for everything but somethings will be at cost and no labor. Is this referring to work you want done outside of what you went in for and getting the bike back to the condition it was before it was knocked over? (such as getting a custom tune on a PCIII)
Also they are fully responsible for anything "the girls" insurance won't cover as the bike was left with them for work and getting knocked over would not be included in a waiver on damages caused by the work accident. this was negligence for the shop letting customer park their own bikes near others.

That sucks!! yea it takes a pretty go hit to knock a bike over i find it pretty hard to believe that something brushed up against it and knocked it over! i hope they follow through and fix every thing back to the way it was when you left it.

*bump* So an update on all of this crap...the guy who did the paint job wasn't able to take the bike until a few days ago, however he should have it all done by Friday which means I should have my bike back either Friday or Saturday...total work + new plastics/parts + paint job + custom parts that I had installed = just under $8000 (I paid for one thing at cost for the shop)

well thats good that everything is getting taken care of, what else are you getting put on
Johnny Cochran
06-29-2007, 11:33 AM
Well it's all new plastics, fresh paint (which is 4k alone), jet black windscreen, flush mounts in the front, changed out the break light to the one that has turn signals intigrated, mud flap is finally gone, new grips, a bunch of small items needed to be replaced (break res., crap like that), as well as a chain and sprocket set (-1/+1. 530 chain)...they are making changes to my onboard ECU (we found out that it is programable) and making a couple mods to the actual exhaust. Then I also got a new Suomy helmet out of it and new gloves...

Well, I took the bike back for almost 2 weeks after the honeymoon...with the cracked plastics and everything...but I just dropped it back of this last Saturday cause the paint guy was supposed to get it Monday...ended up getting it Tuesday afternoon...which means I'm hoping to get it back tomorrow...
The guys at the shop manned up quick as shit. I would have been in their shop everyday if they hadn't...

I'm pretty sure it's on the shop completely. There's no way that chicks insurance is gonna pay, it's got nothing to do with them.
===> maybe I should read to the end of the thread before I post.......
You still shouldn't pay a dime man. If anything that shop should be scared as hell that you'll tell their insurance they let a customer in the bay, that is a BIG no-no.
Johnny Cochran
07-07-2007, 01:27 PM
I'm not paying a dime...and I was over there earlier today for about an hour or two...come monday they are either giving me money for a rental car or one of their personal bikes...which would be fun...either a GSXR Grand, Duc 998S, or the 6something Triumph...fuckers
well, its thursday...soon enough. any news on the paint? what did you get as a rental?
AZIROC
