The Southwest’s premier track day and performance riding organization. The owners of Road Race Southwest, who already bring you the Championship Club Series (CCS/SW) road racing series, have formed XCEL Trackdays to offer motorcycle riding and training to all motorcycle riding enthusiasts.
The goal at XCEL is to offer motorcycle riders, of all skill level and background, the opportunity to participate in safe, closed course, open track day events where they can practice their motorcycle riding skills without worrying about cars, speed limits, or tickets.
Track days at Firebird Intl Raceway and soon to add INDE Motorsports Ranch and Chuckwalla for 2011 schedule.
Classroom and individualized one on one instruction available to ALL new track riders.
For up-to-date information (as track dates get rescheduled from time to time), see www.xceltrackdays.com for track day information and dates and www.roadracesw.com for racing and race date information.

Awesome to have these guys back. Is this going to be for new trackday riders as well? Last time I did a trackday with them (when they were aztracktime.com) you had to have experience because you were sharing the track with the riders who were racing the next day.
Still good to have another trackday organizer around. Competition is good for the consumer.
Now we just need someone to start a no sessions trackday around here. ESPECIALLY at Inde.

5 or 6 year ago i did my first trackday with team arizona. i had a blast and continued. when they went away, i just stopped doing trackdays out here. not a fan of the other trackday org in town except when ti2tt came and saved us all lol. so xcel trackdays are ran by the same guys as team arizona? jack and those guys?

Xcel & CCS is now owned and run by a couple of respected long-time racers and trackday riders who have been a part of the local scene for many years. The staff who run the tech, track control and cornerworkers is the same.
I consider them friends and am happy to say they've done a great job with each event since they took over several months ago.

Nope.
Tyler Smith and I purchased Road Race Southwest, Inc in April from Jack. Road Race Southwest owns and operates CCS Southwest, which is the regional CCS (Championship Cup Series) motorcycle race series.
We started XCEL Trackdays shortly after the purchase because we wanted motorcycle riders, wanting to get on the track, to feel they can come out and ride with us in a safe and professional atmosphere, without feeling intimidated because racers are there. Point of note: aztracktime doesn't do track days anymore.
We have 3 groups, 20 minute sessions.
Group A - Advanced street riders and racers
Group B - Intermediate street riders with prior track experience
Group C - Novice street riders who've never been on the track before.
NO Group A or B riders are allowed to ride in Group C with their buddies. The only 'fast' riders allowed in Group C are staff control riders or instructors. We've all been there, getting on the race track for the first time is intimidating enough, they don't need fast guys blasting around and taking paint off their fairing.
Hope this helps.

No experience necessary. That's the EXACT reason we started XCEL Trackdays, to get rid of the idea that it's a "racer's practice". It's not. We want everyone to come out and enjoy the track, whether you're a seasoned veteran or somebody who's tipping their toe in the track pool for the first time.
And we feel the same way, competition is good and only makes the products for the local riders better.
I would LOVE to do some no session days... I LOVE those... just gotta get the peeps out for them.

Do you guys have a schedule for next year?
Well... we've submitted dates, waiting on confirmation. As soon as we know, you guys will be the first to know.
