So look in your left handle bar, there is a little switch that you press and the other headlight will turn on........ its called your brights :62: if it doesn't turn on you might need to add fluid to your headlights.

BTW nice bike.

Wait your saying presidents are suppose to be smart Chavez? God i hope all voters figure this one out before the next election. but since you didn't like that answer lets see if this one helps you out any better

unless they changed the r6s from before when it was the only r6, the one side had a reflector in it that gave it the look of "dual headlights. ie the middle two would be on for low and the outside 2 would be on for high...or i could be confusing it with the r1.

either way i would still ride with my high beam on, unless someone is riding in front of me. cars get pissed but they saw you, so so what

thats how I ride. half the time when we are doing night lemmon runs it dont mater if there is a bike in front of you or not everybody runs their brights & nobody has a problem with it.

I ask people behind me to turn theirs off cuz i have an astigmatism that is really affected by light at night. but yea if not for that, i prob wouldnt care since nobody else seems 2 lol

ok well then the beam is directed by how the reflectors in the housing are set; not by the bulb or wiring. which as far as I know, isn't adjustable.

so the only way to get it to be 2 low beams would be to cut out the housing for the high beam and put in a new one or create some kind of way to cut off the beam from going to far up. either way to me would be more than it's worth. lol

if you want more light, just put in an HID in the low beam and there you go

I'm considering doing this mod to my Honda (assuming the 600's wire up the same as the 1000's)

http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=58476

Basically it changes it so the high beam is at 40% when you want both lights on but don't want to be blinding people with your full high beam. My HID's are super bright but I use the Irridium coated visor all the time so this might be just the ticket.

I have a big problem with it. I've considerd mounting a high beam type light to the rear of my bike and turning it on whenever somebody has theirs on behind me.

sounds like a good idea, especially knowing how far you have to ride to/from work

if I am not mistaken it is conveniently located next to the blinker fluid

Not sure how the headlights are setup on the R6 but on my 636 it required removing the reflector, swapping the H2's for H4's, getting a harness to fit the new H4's, and wiring in a relay. It really isn't that bad and I have the instructions still if you want them. Of course, the wire colors might be different but the config will be the same. Also, depending on whether or not you need to fit a larger bulb, you may be required to cut the edges off (base of the bulb) to get it to fit. Let me know if you want me to email the instructions for my bike so you can see if it is the same for yours.
