Looking for the cheapest place to grab some heat wrap for my exhaust. Have heard from friends a few places but prices seemed a wee bit high

get it powdercoated... heat wrap locks in the heat so right where the heat wrap ends there will be a large amount of heat buildup which will cause stress to the metal and anything around it (plastics). Do a high temp powdercoat.

I have used heat wrap on our SCCA race cars and this is where i have seen the heat buildup. It also locks moisture in with the heat/cooling process and causes the mild steel to rust

I have seen the mettle get so brittle under the heat wrap that will crush in your hand!

The jetcoat or high temp powdercoat is a much better way to go we use it on all of our sandrail exhaust systems now. Besides it looks way cleaner than heat wrap. There is a guy on here that does powdercoat.
