OK so I know we have a lot of UFC fans here on the board so we should all meet up for the next event.

So:
Where: Buffalo Wild Wings in Mesa by Fiesta Mall
When: Saturday May 26, 2007 fights start at 7pm show up early to secure a spot. (around 5:30-6pm they have food and beer so you will be ok)
Why: Chucks last loss was to Rampage in 2003 who he is fighting this night for the title

Fight Card:
-Chuck Liddell (#1 Light HW) vs. Quinton Jackson (#8 Light HW )
-Karo Parisyan (#7 Welterweight) vs. Josh Burkman
-Ivan Salaverry vs. Terry Martin
-Keith Jardine vs. Houston Alexander
-Chris Leben vs. Kalib Starnes

It's $5 come on now that is nothing. Most places now charge $10-15. It's cause they have to pay per seat to have a ppv event at a place like that. Not just the $40 one charge.

I did not know he had signed, I know he's called SHOGUN, I used to watch alot of Pride when I had more time.... Mauricio kicks ass big time, he used to train with Wanderlei Silva (dont know if he still does) who is also one bad MOFO, is it just me or were there more badass fighters in Pride

actually he said it was likely the next fight for him. i still question that since Wandy has said the wants to take the rest of the year off after having two KO losses in a row (Henderson, CroCop)

It only makes sense. Chuck has fought twice this year so he needs some time to rethink how to get his belt back. I bet we see the two of them in December so that way they can both try to train and get back on their "A" game.

MMA fans don't make statements like that, it doesn't matter if its a 14 second KO or a 25 min jiu jitsu match, a title fight is a title fight and worth every penny to watch "live."

There was a housewife at my house who kept saying that... "OMG you paid for this" in the most whiney voice after EVERY damn fight.

I paid $60 to get the HD broadcast and felt it was worth every penny. I wish I sprung the $500 per seat (second tier) to go see it live.

Bah, I've never been really impressed with the main event, I mainly watch for the earlier fights, especially light weights. When both guys are big enough to take each other out in one punch you rarely see a bloodbath, but two smaller guys who scrap the entire fight, sign me up.
