I almost got taken out today!

What up kids! I have one for you today! As some of you know, I work for US Airways. This week, I am going through team lead training at the facility on 54th and University. I left there today, and took 54th which turned into Rio Solado. I was eastbound on Rio crossing McClintock, in the right hand lane, when this ASU barbie in her brown Expedition pulled off McC to make a right on to RS, which happened to be right in front of me. No biggie, I just quickly darted over the LH lane.

By this point Im in front of cycle works, and then Barbie, who had sped up next to me darted in my lane to miss a car turning into the Parking Lot. Only problem? I was in the lane next to her! She started pushing me over, and was seriously maybe 8-12 inches away from me, and I was equidistant from the median. I didn't have time to honk my horn before I processed that I was in danger. I took evasive manuvers, slammed on my brakes and hit my rev limiter, because that seems to garner more attention than that wimpy horn. I got around this !#@##$ (still driving in the RH lane) and looked at her...Deep in an intense conversation, on her freakin' phone and apperantly still hadn't seen me-since before cutting me off to make her turn on Rio Solado!:bullshit:

You think she would've at least seen the leopard print seat:sad1 ...

Telling you bro it's cause you don't ride in the Steve-O thong. LOL. Really though that sucks. I get that crap a lot on freeway to work. In Washington talking on a handset phone is a ticket. (only bluetooth devices)

sounds like me on the 101 going to work tonight. dude in a brown Silverado came on from thomas gets in the slow lane (im in the middle) and then he just comes over into the middle lane where im at. and it wasnt like iw as behind him, if anything, i was just behind his front wheel. Luckly the fast lane was open so i just popped over there.. he of course was on his cell phone not even looking.

i'm always on the defense when riding.. i never let someone get in a lane beside me w/o either leaving enough room for them to just whip over.. OR like i more likely do.. speed up so i'm at least even with their front tire.. there are rare situations that you can't do that but thats how i keep them from running me off the road... Load pipes save lives

I've noticed that almost EVERY close call/cut me off that's happened to me it's been some prick on a cell phone. It's bad enough in AZ with people never checking their blind spot but when they're on the phone too? BS
Haven't tried the knocking the mirror off thing yet. How does that work out for you guys?
I remember I was riding with a friend back in England who was cut off and then given the finger by the asshole. We got to a stop light and Trevor takes his helmet off all calm and just smashes it 4 or 5 times on the guys roof! Fucking ruined his helmet though...

I've kicked their door before because they threatened my life when they crossed into my lane...but how does the mirror one work? Smash the mirror section, or take it all the way off? Quickly make your getaway afterwards??? hmmmmm....food for thought....

A Beamer cut me off one time. I was right next to him so he clearly would have seen me if he just looked over. Of course, he was thinking, "I'm in a beamer doing 80 on the exit ramp, nobody can catch me." I just looked at him when he finally looked over. Fraking idiot drivers. I'm sure am glad I'm one of them.
