STAY AWAY FROM YSA
I had them put my tires on and they scratched the sh*t out of my rims. Not only that but they forgot to tighten the pinch bolts on my front axle. By the time i got home there were no pinch bolts.
Grab a service manual, some tools, and a beer and learn how to work on your bike yourself, its definatetly worth taking the time to learn

i have no problem doing all the other wrenching myself... But at that time i didnt want to hassle with the rims. I can take the them off and on, just not put the tires to the rims (only b/c i havent done it and didnt have the tools and needed a new tire bad), and now since the rim is scratched i guess i can learn to do that as well...

I'm sure they do quality work most of the time, i was just letting u guys know what i went threw. I bitched at them enough that they repainted my rims, so thats a plus. I have had cycle gear change my tires 3 times and they havent scratched a rim yet.
If the shop were to use the tire machine correctly it will not scratch the rim, its not even supposed to touch the rim.
I have changed a good 30 tires with the same machine they use and i had only scratched 1 or 2 rims, when i was at MMI.

LOL i was at YSA today looking at bikes and they have an 06 GSXR 600 with 800 miles on it, bone stock and had a few small scratches and scrapes(including a couple os spots where the foot hit the tail when swinging the leg over):
total $9500 OTD he had the bike priced as $8100. I laughed and left. Funny thing is they stickered it as $8999 becuase at 800 miles it is still new. Weren't even willing to negotiate it any.
Also when i pointed out the scratches and scuffs the response was "well every bike in here has them" meaning to me they don't take any pride in keeping bikes clean as possible or admitting a problem.
Even the sales guy (not the money guy) looked at the paper and listened to him with an odd look on his face obviously thinking "this is crazy." Especially considering Metro said $8700 for the bike itself on a 07 600 with 0 miles

YSA is part of the Axis of Evil along with metro and Town and Fuck-me....Ok that's my 2 cents...

Which is why they close up shop and move to a new location under a new name. Metro is next on the block, sometime this year it will close and the new shop at T-Bird and the 101 will take its place, don't be fooled by the new name, its Metro regardless.

How is that working out for you? I paid 600 for that and have yet to use it, could I get away with throwing a nail into it and taking the wheel in?

If you buy your tires from them.. personally I get my tires from Pipe City cause I get a kick ass price but the mounting of them costs me a fortune! And I too did mine at YSA, they didn't hurt my rims and gave me a break for being a female rider.. :D
