Hey there!
I've been riding for about 10 years. I just bought an 07' Triumph 675. It's awesome except I wish all those reviews included something about the ball burning exhaust too close to your crotch. First mod= exhaust wrap. Much better now. You can actually touch the hot pipe without losing a fingerprint and no huevos rancheros. Second mod= sliders and spools, it hurt me inside to go drilling 1" holes in brand new plastic. Strangely liberating though. I can't wait to go on some real rides once the dreaded break-in is over. Oh and you guys probably already know but check to make sure all your hardware is tight on those new bikes, my tank was ready to fall off (bastards!). Ok blah blah hope to hang out with you guys soon. (decent pics coming soon)

Welcome! I am gonna get my brand new Ducati SS800 plastics drilled into for sliders as well, next week. I'm going to be a little hurt by that, but I'll get over it once the sliders are put to use!

I considered the no drill brackets but I heard stories of them cracking the case when dropped. I drilled the holes myself, aint skeerd. I was a prototype machinist for 7 years, excited to have a new project.

Bike will be going to the dealer in CA to get the mods on this Thursday and I will be picking it up (assuming it's done) on Saturday. :D I'm driving my 'stang up there with a friend and we will take turns riding and driving back. The bike is still very much in break in period.

I've got 500 on her now, I added 200 last night. 500 to go before I open her up. My top speed is 70 at this point.

I ran into a guy who rides a speed triple yesterday, we did Yarnell hill last night during the eclipse. No traffic at all at 2 in the morning. We went up only twice cause I was dead tired. What an amazing ride! The tach lights are set for 5700 on my 675 so I don't go over 6000. I just kept the lights on and went for it at 70 all without down shifting or braking the whole way up. My bike is a corner hungry bitch. I can't wait to do it during the day!
