Well guys i though that we have had a dry spell lately due to that one run out at Tortilla. I would like to have one huge event with the club. My thoughts are to meet up somewhere on Friday October 6th. We could meet somewhere to eat, meet members, and talk bikes. I plan to go and talk to the managers of wherever we go to save some parking. This would not include South Mountain as the group would be too big, and this would allow us more time to talk and such.
My ideas of places to meet are:
In-n-Out
Hooters on Mill (park cars in spots earlier in the day to save spots for plenty of bikes)
Time frame:
thinking to meet at 7-7:30pm on Friday October 6th
Hopefully i can get the front logo done in time to have the shirts made. This would mean i would need enough orders and money by Friday of next week to place the order in time.
Looking for ideas to make this event BIG. Lets try and take over a parking lot!
Keep this thread free of rambling... ideas only

i dont care about my situation with a ride... ill be there for sure. I think it might be a better idea to place orders of the shirts at the event. That way we would get the most amout of orders possible.

with a large group, it would probably be best to go somewhere where we can all order our food seperately. bike night at hooters was cool but its always a nightmare to figure out the check. just my .02

That would be fun during the day on a weekend.

The guys who got this thing together over at azsportbikes said that next time there will be seperate checks.

this will just be a night event because its a friday, it doesnt leave enough time for a long run to Prescott. I am thinking In-n-Out then head to Mill. Save some spots on mill using cars during the day, then when the bikes roll in take the cars and park them in the underground structure.
The after hanging out on mill for a bit, head on over to The Library or one of the other million bars on Mill for a drink or two... for those who are 21 :D

hooters! that way we take over mill and hooters at one time. jerry you can take the scooter so you dont feel left out

Yea im thinking Hooters on mill would be cool. We would need a few cars to park on mill to save some spots... anyone know how much a parking ticket is on mill?
Also at like 8pm i dont think the cops are in full force on Mill so that would be good too. We would get there around 7:30-8.
When we decide on somewhere ill need an idea of how many people and ill talk to the Managers... hooters girls on the bikes would be a plus... a hooters girl on Justins Scooter... amazing

the mill hooters sounds good but seperate checks the one tab thing doesn't work out very well
Blue Devil
09-21-2006, 03:16 PM
yea big tabs suck as they always come up short of what is due. I guess we can see about Hooters. Ill check out what parking spots we would have to occupy.

Just a suggestion from someone that has had some experience organizing simular things on a large scale before
Hooters sounds cool but the one on Mill on a Fri nite would be a nightmare if a lot of people showed
Is there another Hooters that might be a bit more urban but convienent?
Pretty much anyplace kind of sports bar/food oriented that is good and wouldn't be packed otherwise
Manager would be way more coperative if the place wouldn't have been filled if we weren't there
It kind of cuts down on the the drunk guy's walking by messin with the bikes too...

we could do Applebees on Rural and Broadway... other then that a sports type bar that accepts under 21? I think Applebees would be good as there is a shit load of parking there

ya like you said applebees would be good for even having the under21 riders being able to attend.

Alright so the two choices are Applebees and Hooters. I personally think Hooters would be much more fun on Mill. That way we can just stay up there and hit the bars haha.
My vote is for Hooters. Dont mind the parking situation as we will make it happen, just let me know what you would like more.

sorry but i am going to be brutally honest here. Hooters sucks. It is the most overrated restaurant ever. The food blows and is overpriced. The service is terrible and most of the time, the girls aren't even hot. I have been to Hooters in San Francisco, Anaheim, Newport Beach, and Phoenix and it has been the same story every time.
Any of you heard of the Tilted Kilt? I have been told it puts Hooters to shame...

your just a hooters pro. No matter what the girls look like, there still dressed in less clothes than the waitress at applebees, and at applebees we could just get a waitor. And its on Mill which is just a cooler location than rural and broadway

yea i was thinking Hooters just because its on Mill. I have been to tilted kilt before but what i like is the environmet on Mill ave. We could also do "My big fat greek restraunt" on mill. Its good food and isnt too pricy.

im not arguing with the location. Mill is tight. I am just saying that for the "Big Event" there has to be a better place that we can go then Hooters... Yeah its cool cuz the girls are usually cool and theyll come out and pose on the bicks and shit but i dunno. i just really don't like the place; for the reasons above.
Also, Mill is cool but its not like we can really go get trashed...we all still have to ride home and personally I wouldnt get on my bike even after one drink.
Blue Devil
09-25-2006, 04:10 PM
yea i understand the trashed thing haha. I just like the environment on mill a lot better then some empty parking lot next to a restraunt. If anyone can come up with some better ideas im all for it, but until then im going to plan on Hooters.
Anyone ever think of slices? Its a pizza place right off Mill ave. There is another good idea and place to go.

I don't know much of anybody or anyone on here for that matter, but I know when we put together a big ride, we always like to have a BBQ at somebodies house... Or even a park with grills is cool too...... That is my two cents.... Either way, I would come up from Tucson if you guys put together something big... also, I ride with a pretty big group here in Tucson.... I could bring about 20+ bikes too.... Just depends how big of an event that you want to make.

Alright Hooters it is! We will take care of parking so when everyone gets there it will be open. However we will be holding the spots for people that say they are with Devil Riders because parking wont be easy. Post is going up in the events section!
