he was riding around a turn and the police blocked the road. He tried to stop and hit some gravel and it slid. In my own mind the cops were wrong, but this thread is about being safe, not about the accident. I dont want to talk about the accident as the person in it is not here to answer questions

sounds like a crappy exp all around but i understand where u r comin from
