Anyone willing to let me borrow a set for this sunday? With Christmas and all coming up i may have a few bones to spend but wanted to see the difference before i go out and invest in the warmers and a generator. Just let me know where and when and ill pick them up.

Anyone so kind?

I hear good things about the T2 warmers on the WERA board. I guess you can get a good set for pretty cheep and they work well according to the racers that use them.

you can pick up a generator (1000Watts) for $89 from pepboys or $99 from checker auto. I picked up a pair of digital podium racing (http://www.sportsbike.com.au/tire_warmers_podium.html)
tire warmers on ebay from a local guy for $200. His ebay name is ducati-racer-2 so check it out. i have his phone number and can pass it along. I just picked up a set from him two days ago so i'll be trying them out on sunday.

PRC? Pilot Race Compound? Pirelli race compound?

I have pilot races on my wheels right now and i have a second set of wheels waiting for powdercoat and there getting 190/55-17 and 120/70-17 Pirelli Diablo Superbike Slicks :shocked

Nick_OMC

PRC is a tire profile that mimic's the slicks, but is a DOT Race tire. Michelin makes it.

Blue Devil

pretty sure thats a pilot race... slick around the edges but the center has a little bit of tread making it DOT

^ it is a pilot race but the resembles the shape or a 1200 series slick. the PRC is a profile tire with a more egg shaped profile to mimic the slick. it enhances the side grip.

ah i know what your talking about... it has the shape of a 190 on a 5.5 wheel but it doesnt have as much of the height as a 190 on a 5.5...
