I can't believe what happened the other night. My last night in Phoenix, I went to the bar for Halloween/a last night of drinking for awhile and go to an after party at my friends neighbors house. Anyway, bunch of people from the bar show up along w/ a couple guys that work there that ride Harleys. Anyway, some dude gets all drunk and starts bugging everyone so someone asked him to leave. Dude says he's calling his friends to come get him and then decides to drive himself. Must have been pissed at the guys that asked him to leave nicely so he took it upon himself to get in his truck, drive off and come back and run over both of the Harleys. Anyway, I'm in the backyard and hear this loud ass nice and was like, "What the f*ck was that?" go out front and the just see the bouncers from the bar (who owned the Harleys) jump into a truck and go after him. So, I along with another guy go pick up the bikes and push them into the garage, the first one just got scratched up a bit and had the rear brake lever busted off while the other one got shoved under the neighbors truck so we had to get a bunch of people to help lift up the back and pull the bike out. That one has the forks broken, gas tank leaking, bunch of other damage too. Heard it is totaled. The Harley riders were pissed at first but then were just like, I guess thats why we have full coverage insurance.
Last I heard the cops actually found the guy and charged him w/ something like extreme DUI, I think it was felony hit and run and some other stuff too.
It pisses me off to hear things like this happening, it's like why can't people address problems they have with other people directly rather then run over their bikes?
