You will have a great time and learn a ton of things about the bike and yourself. Whatever you do go at YOUR pace, that will keep you well out of trouble. The only tip that I would give a new track rider is HAVE FUN!!!!

LOL!!!!! I just felt a little better wearing the vest. But a few passed me in corners anyways. Next time I won't have to wear it since I did learn A LOT about my lines and really getting the hang of leaning over pretty good! I picked up quite a bit of speed towards the end of the day too. It was worth every penny!

I run the Pilot Races (medium compound F/R) on the street as well as the track. I have a second set of wheels for slicks that I will run once I feel I need to. I know Wes (az05R6) runs DOT races on the street as well. He runs the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa's on the street and the track. Cold mornings they suck due to them being so cold and not heating like street tires, but the only other downside is wear life. They dont heat cycle at all because street riding doesn't generate as much friction. I love them honestly. Just got a new rear yesterday and getting a new front this week.

oh yea go perilli! i <3 ny tires lol, i dun have any problems with mine heating up, i just add a little more tire pressure since they dont get super heated like they do at the track... that reminds me i need to get some new ones

Just Be Careful W/ Running Those Race Tires On The Street,the Heat Cycles Will Make Them Shity. The Pilot Races Get Really Bad After A Few Heat Cycles,the Front Tires Likes To Go Away.

PP are the only tire that I have tried that I need to replace before any signs of heat cycles. Corsa slicks on the other hand........Tire warmers are a must!!
