Ducati looks tough in WSBK

bayliss took the first race on the 1098 with Nieto wrappin up the 2nd race on the gsxr 1000. but 4 of the top 5 finishers were ducati 1098's.

The new Kawasaki's and Honda's did not do so well in the race I watched. I was hoping for a better showing with two new bikes

Yea it should do better its like running a 750 in the 600 class.

it was only the first race its a long season to see how the new bikes perform. i know Honda and Kawi still have a lot of kinks to work out. I can't wait till they get the setups down. Whats really going to suck for duc is when they start getting there ass kicked by bikes that have less CC's

NO NO NO!!!! ALL OF YOU GO LOOK AT ANY CLUB RACING RULEBOOK!!! Like WERA and CCS. They all state that a twin 1000 WILL race against a 775 water cooled 4. I have both rule books and I will say that I am faster than any twin that I have ever raced. Twins are great off the line but die at the top end. There are probably weight restrictions too.

i totally agree. especially keenan sofuoglu on the new 1000RR should start stepping it up even more once he gets used to the new bike and the hanspree honda gets the bike right.

I didn't see the races over the weekend, but I'm stoked to watch this evening, they are being replayed on Speed Channel today at 10:00a (1st Race) and 11:00a (2nd Race), gotta love DVR.
