do you clutch it up in second? if so what's the "technique" on that bike, i have an '03 and i'm still working on it, i can bring it up in first with just the throttle, but i can't control it in that gear.

clutch in 2nd, power in 1st... usually how 600's work (unless u got some new gearing *-1/+2*, then u may be able to power 2nd as well).

FastDemonr1

I clutch it up since it is more predictable, but I can power up 2nd and 3rd..... Shit, let's go riding, I'll show you.

Oh btw, I am +3 in the front and +1 in the back, I couldn't keep the front end down 1st-4th gear with stock sprockets... I built this bike for the drag strip.

on a close to stock r6 just clutch it up in 2nd at like 40-45 mph. It will come right up.

Haha, think what you want, I suffer a LITTLE on the bottom end, but I make enough power to make up for it.... I have a weisco 616 stroker kit, 5 angle valve job, head is ported and polished, r1 injecotrs and fuel pump, pc3, full yosh exhuast, velo stacks, k&n filter, custom C and C bigger valves, r1 valve springs, and a reground cam, ignition advancement... I think that's "all" I have done.

i know the bike's can come up, that's not the question, the question is... how EXACTLY is it done, all i have done performace wise is a yoshi slip on so far.... when you clutch it up, what's the science behind it, i just need someone with the same bike that knows how to do it, to teach me... so anyone that wants to .... hit me up.

hes got a shitload more power than us stock 6's. I cruise at like 40-50, tack it up to like 10grand and drop the clutch and then just got to keep the throttle steady.

??? its a wheelie. rack the RPMS up, load the front suspension, then nail the gas.

I know right! If we can get our heffers on the rear wheel, them light 600's shouldn't have any problems!

Hey man, if you want to go riding I am down.... You could come down to Tucson for the tailgate party then afterwards I could take you out and teach you.... I learned how to do it when it was almost stock, with just the Yosh slip on.... So I still remember... if your down shoot me a PM or even call me after 5 today... 701-226-3859

power wheelies in 1st arent that cool and i can clutchin it in second all day, but there is a technique to clutching it up opposed to just twisting the throttle. lets hit up mt lemmon and then stunt around for a little.

you wanna go out this weekend??? where is mt lemon?

some of you guys are morons, this is a forum last time i checked and the purpose of that is to find info out on things that we don't know, not all of us are masters at everything known to man as some of you CLAIM. I know it's mostly kidding and sarcasm, but it would be nice to get an answer without some jackass saying... "oh that's so easy, how do you not know how to do that..." yeah, a wheelie is "simple" but that is after you learn how to do it correctly, which i haven't done yet. My goal is to learn how to do it slowly without looping the bike. A liter bike is easier to throttle up is what everyone tells me that has one, in gears besides 1st which there seems to be no throttle moderation on a 600 seeing as they lack low end torque, but again, i'm not a master of all things possible, so i don't know. that's all i've got right now. thanks to the few of you who were helpful.
