saw this bullentin on myspace thought id share

To give us bikers a safer place to ride!

I wanted to draw your attention to this important petition that I recently signed:

i think it will be opened again. sooner or later. they arent going to just let a multi million dollar track just sit there forever.

It wont open until noise regulations are met. Maybe we can all convert our bikes to electric and it would be like a silent race... but for now i love the screaming sound of my bike. As long as all the people live in their houses around there it wont be open. Maybe there will be a massive desert fire that burns down all the houses, kills no one, and somehow completely misses the track

Funny how they think its new. Sure would be nice if it ever opened again...would have been nice if the owner of the track had not lied out his ass about the intended use of this track.

exactly... it got shut down because it was violating city ordinances for noise. Nothing is going to change and its just going to sit there and wither away. Its been closed for like 5 years now. In that time people have built even more homes and moved in and have become accustomed to not hearing the track. It would raise holy hell if it was reopened 100%.

well thats crappy.

I think BIR raceway up in MN had some noise issue with the public, but they worked out so they can still race, but only during certain hours of the day and such since there are residential folks nearby. Like regardless of where they are in schedule for the day, I think they have to stop at 6pm or something.
