SCOTTSDALE - A 30-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after he lost control of his Yamaha R6 bike in downtown Scottsdale.

Matthew Busey, a Scottsdale resident, was riding northbound on Scottsdale Road when he struck a median at Earll Drive at a high rate of speed, police said.

Busey was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, where he was pronounced dead around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.
