Right now im looking into getting some boots in the near future, racing boots... not timberlands. I have been looking into Alpinestar and Oxtar boots. I have heard really good things about both but I think i may go with Oxtar. Does anyone know of any local areas in Phoenix that carry them so i can get my right size? Speciifically im looking at the Oxtar Evo(blue ones) or evo replica(only come in white).
So what boots do you guys sport?

I've heard good things about Oxtar. I have the Sidi Vertibra boots and went to AZSPBK to try them on then ordered them online. I think I saw the Oxtar's there so you may want to call them: 480-898-0559. They are right next to Town & Country Motorsport in Chandler. Either way, you can't go wrong with Alpinestar, Oxtar or Sidi boots.

I got to thinking and they would be allowed at the 1/4mile track, so technically you were on line... but that isnt really a "track" to me, guess i need to explain myself better haha

back in the day i wore the Sidi's.. i cant remember which brand.. but it was the boot that had all the plastic parts on it so whn u dragged a knee or scuffed a part up, all u had 2 do was unscrew a screw and u could put a new part on.
I have the a* smx+ right now.. great boot, sidi makes a killer boot as well. I have only heard good things about oxtar.
try them all on and see what you think, don't think you can really go wrong with any of those brands but with the oxtar you can get a ti toe slider lol

Well i just picked up a pair of black Alpinestars SMX boots. They were worn for one track day by a guy i work with. He only wanted $50 so how could i deny that? The fit perfect and are nice and tough, yet there is still a ton of feeling in the shifter area of the foot which is what i was looking for.
So thats $300 for a 1 piece suit and $50 for boots haha. Man im gettin this shit for dirt cheap, cant wait to get a set of beat up race plastics that i can fix up (been doing fiberglass for a while) and then im hitting a track day. Let the addiction of tracks begin!

I rode with them for a bit and i love them. The only problem is i have to adjust my vortex rearsets shifter lever up a little bit as my foot doesnt bend down in the boots like it can in Pumas

LOVE my alpine stars smx, if course i've been diehard A.S. fan for the last 10 years, their gear has kept me in minimal peices fora long time especially when i was younger and dumber riding dirt...
The SMX boots are the way to go

sorry man but i disagree with the daytona thing. If they were so great more racers would wear them. Personally after my accident i LOVE my boots. My right ankle would for sure be broken if i wasnt wearing them.
Next boots i want to try out are the white Oxstars...

The Oxtars do look pretty good
Daytona will not pay for an endorsement
However, Nicky Hayden, Hacking, Eslick, Herrin, Oliver
and a bunch of other guy's used them for years til the checks from other companies got too big
That's why you don't see them advertised..
A set of full zoot Daytona's would set you back about $950
And, I think that's without custom fitment

I think im gonna buy the vertigo corsa air's... 395.00 but they are perforated like the black SMX-plus!!! But i need to try them all on first. I was also looking at the A* Supertechs as well....

why would u pay 950 for a pair of boots that not many people will vouche for, the quality looks inferior, and no sponsorship/endorsement opportunity?....screw that....besides, those look like something from the late 80's as far as boots go, custom fitment as far as the foot bed?...WASTE OF MONEY.....i had a chance with that for ski boots, didnt need it, the boots fit me good out of the box...no need to spend 950 on a pair of boots that dont even look like they would do as good a job as sidi or A star....but thats just my 2 cents,
prove me wrong tho...show me some boots and sanctioned comparo's...i'd like to see em....

I wouldn't have the dough for'em so I guess it is a mute point
But, Lots of people do vouch for them
That's kind of why I replied
They don't do endorsements because they don't have to
They sell all they can make at $950 that's kind of mind boggoling(I'm in the wrong business)
Kind of like the difference between AGV and Helimot leathers
The best of the best.. just very very focused
That's why I tried to point a few of you guy's in that direction
Figured some haven't heard of it
So, I wanted to try and share some experience ya know

meh, i got my boots for $50 haha a coworker had them sitting after he sold his bike so he basically gave them to me. I dont need to spend 900 on a pair of boots. Why not just get some Burrberry or Coach ones while were at it?
