The only good reason I can see owning one is just cause they are rare, I would much rather have an LER1 than an R7..... Spec wise they aren't that impressive to me. And the body styling is nothing to oogle over for me. It's just a rebadged R6 to me.... but maybe I am stupid, I dunno. Not at ALL worth the money IMO.

no no no, that bike is WAY beyond a re badged anything... it's fuel injected in 99, has two sets of injectors, after activating the second set that thing will put out close to 150hp EASY, that is a FULL race bike, read up on it it's pretty cool... no where near an R6, yeah technology has come a long way since then...maybe the new R6 handles better BUT! for a 99 that was way ahead of it's time, and just to add insult to injury in a straight line the R7 will eat the new 6 and some of the 1's (dont know about the new r1's)

yea, like he said.. the new bikes are "better" but for 1999-2000.. this thing was just insane. It would be like saying.. yea, y get a '54 vette when the NEW vette is better.
