Well, my r6 was stolen around 3AM this morning. No anger here, as I just got an 05 R1, I will post some pics up as soon as I find a hosting site I can get to from work.

honestly the 03-05 r6 motors power band feels much better to me. The 06 is just as fast but just doesnt feel like it when riding it

you just have to learn the power band and keep it in it's range. it's slow at first off the line but it spools up real quick. and on the highway...fuggetaboutit

Sorry, I was gone for a week... Was in IOWA visiting the GF's family. And I figured out the R1 does 109mph in 1st gear, shit is CRAZY.

Take it to SF2 Racing and have them remap on thier dyno. Low end is hard to find on a short stroke engine. Mine got a lot better after the remap at SF2 Racing. Best $200.00 ever spent. Maps online suck. Cant get rid of exup without a full system.

After doing some research I think it is best to not go with a full system, all the gains on a full system are mainly top end, and I have NO problem with the R1's top end power, I just want to get rid of the 6500-7200 drop in power and add some low end.

I should have no problem getting into the 11's with the bike prettty much stock as it is now(other than a slip on and powercommander that i have never fucked with). I want to try and get mid-high 11s b4 i regear.

you shouldnt have a problem hittin 11.5 at all. Its all in the launch and consistancy. Let me ride it for a pass and ill get ya mid 11's.

i was just sayin that if u want more low end power regear, dont need a full system, the pros can brake ten stock so if u get a good launch u should make it to 11's pretty easy

So R6>FZ1??? I was running 11.2's on my R6 almost bone stock. And I am going -1 in the front and leaving the back alone. I was also thinking of going to a 520 chain. The tensile strengh on the 520 DID X-Ring is higher than my stock 530 chain, and I would like to lose some rotational mass.

i hit 11.1 at 123.8 with a stock r6, no suspension, a 530 chain, still had my mirrors on too, i do have a slip on if you want to count that as any mod. Supposedly its supposed to run a 10.68 stock at 129mph. i dunno, but that seems pretty hard and I would like to see how they get the times.

exactly were at 1200ft. Back in detroit its at like 500ft and guys run about .3-.4 faster then here. I know a few guys who have raced in detroit and in phoenix. Ran a 12.2 in detroit and a 12.6 in phoenix... elevation messes with you a lot because as we all know there is less oxygen in the air here then at sea level

i dont know about that one. i understand all the different variables. but a 9.9 with just different gearing is a little unrealistic figuring any aveage guy on a stock liter bike can barely hit that time. I would like to see that guy run if he did hit that time though.
