Alright guys this friday at Firebird Raceway in Chandler is Friday Night drags. Drags start at like 6pm and they got till like 11pm. Justin and I are plannin to go and get some times while the weather is cold and nice. $17 for racers and $10 for spectators.
If you run faster then 11.99 you need a leash cut off switch, leather pants, boots, gloves, and all. For general racing you need at least leather jacket, jeans, boots above the ankle, helmet (DOT and SNELL), and leather gloves...
So who wants to go? We can all meet at my place and head over from here around 6 or so.

Mostly depends on your 60ft time. I know your not comfortable with the front tire comin off the ground so my guess is you will run in the range of 12.0-12.2 based off other new riders i have seen at the track. I have yet to take mine to the track but i know how to launch it and i dont mind the tire being off the ground.

If you get enough runs in and are comfortable with the launching, I am sure by the end of the night you could be sub 12. Better safe than sorry man, bring the required gear incase you run it, cause they'll boot your ass and lecture you otherwise.

its funny that they are so strict. there were guys on drag bikes at speedworld running 10's a few weeks ago in jeans.

its 10.99 for the cut off leash. Anyone have a size 10.5 or 11 boot that I could borrow for the night?

or 120 mph... our bikes run at over 120 mph. From what i have seen its more around 122-125 with a good rider... so im going to make the leash anyways

Do a write up if you make the leash. I'm too lazy to go search for one...

we can hit Speedworld tomorrow night if Firebird ends up being rained out. They are a lot more relaxed on the moto rules at Speedworld and they just repaved the track last month.

well gates open in 40 minutes lol and it is still all wet out there... the idea of racing on not 100% dry pavement scares the shit out of me. Dont get me wrong, Justin and I have had our fair share of fun on wet roads but all out racing... not me
