Mt. Lemmon Ride

Hey just wondering if anybody be interested in coming down to Tucson on like Feb 10th or 11th and we could do a Gates Pass/ Mt. Lemmon ride..... Depending on how many of you guys come down we could be looking at about a 20+ bike event, Cause my group here in Tucson has about 10-12 bikes in it. Let me know if your interested. Dinner at Hooters also. Or where ever you guys want to go.

Just a warning!!

Watch out on Mt. Lemon. I went on a cruise with some guys from AZHT and all 12 or so of us got pulled over and bent over with no lube by the PCSD. They set up a road block, they had atleast 15 marked cars, 3 unmarked cars, and a couple of air planes and or helicopters.

The main tickets i got were for a modified exhaust and a stop sign violation, the air plane saw us run a stop sign that we didnt.

Again just warning for you guys because they knew we were goin up there, they knew our time table, and they knew how many people to expect. So my only guess is that they were reading all of our posts when we were setting up that run

They are not affraid to harrass you either, if it was that bad in my car i could only imagine how much of a dick they would be if i was on my R6.

Wow i read most of those and thats bullshit... yea ricers can annoy me but for cops to be cracking jokes and giving tickets for modified exhausts... that bullshit...

I had the same thing happen to me when I went up Mt. Lemmon with a car club. We were all driving responsibly and just enjoying the drive, and we saw flashing lights toward the end of the pack. So, naturally we pulled over because we figured our last guy was getting pulled over for something. Well, as soon as we pulled into the vista point and exit our vehicles, Sheriff Dumbass comes pulling in to issue us all speeding tickets. The two from the rear keep going by as we inquire as to why we were being issued tickets and he stated "You shoulda been smart and kept goin like yer buddies." The idiot wrote everyone that stopped (roughly 8 cars) up for 50 in a 35. He stated he got some people on radar and the rest on a pace. Well, like a dumbass, I paid the ticket since it was going to have to be an appearance in Tucson to fight it, and went on with my life. Well, the guy that lived in Tucson went and the Sheriff didn't even show up, so his got thrown out. I got a letter a couple months later AFTER paying the ticket, requiring me to attend the class they send stupid drunk drivers and shit to. So, I willl NEVER go back to Mt. Lemmon ever again, and I warn you guys as well, only go if you want more drama in your life for no reason.

wow i have heard several stories of this so far... pretty bad when cops bust in on harmless legal driving. I can understand being pulled over for speeding and passing that is justified but it sounds like they just go too far...

Guys, I live here, I go up Mt Lemmon almost EVERY DAY. And I have NEVER been pulled over, there is only 3 places for the COPS to hide, and we know where they are

yeah, thats what my friends said last weekend, then we doing the speed limit and boom we got choppers, road blocks, and like 20-30 ground units.

I swear those are the famous last words, "I NEVER see cops there"
