there was some debate on gsxr.com what caused this. the leading theories are they leaned too much and gravity/slider/footpeg brought them down. He used too much countersteer and the front just lost it. Or the more popular theory (sadly), she dragged him down with too much lean (notice how she tries to sit up as they crash.

oh and god just hated them for riding a yamaha :P

ouch... my guess is that he came into the corner but did not stay on the throttle. You can see this by how far they slid when they went down, they didnt go far at all. As you go through a turn you must stay on the throttle if not increase speed through the turn slightly. Once the rear tire looses power it sets everything off balance. If you look closely you can also see a lack of experience. Ask any experience rider what part of their foot in on the pegs... squid

So heres how it goes...
let off throttle -> his lean started to drop as a result -> rear tire came out due to loss of traction (no throttle = less traction) -> they hit the ground and slid a short distance due to lack of speed.

For a second i thought that this was the suzuki guy with no front rotors, but then noticed the yamaha guy is wearing pants
