Anybody good with insurance companies??? I need some questions answered. I am just getting to the point where the insurance is going to pay me for my R6 that was stolen. Okay, little background first.... My bike was attemped to be stolen about 3 months ago, got a check for 1800, paid 600 to a dealer to get it fixed, and I fixed the rest myself.

Okay, first off they are going to pay me 5500 for NADA value for an 05 R6 (show me where I can get one for that and I'll get another)
Now they are saying I need to PROVE to them that I fixed the aforementioned differance of 1200 dollars from my previous claim.
so that brings is down to $4300.

I had $1000 in customizable parts covered by insurance. This is what I claimed (didn't list any performance mods except exhaust)
Yoshimura Oval (RS-3) Carbon Fiber Race Complete System Exhaust (Yamaha YZF-R6 2004)= 972.95
integrated tail light= msrp 94.99
flush mount front turn signals= 22.95
rear tire hugger- 109.99 (on ebay)
front wind screen- 84.95 MSRP
Pazzo Levers= 159.99 MSRP
carbon fiber mirrors= 185.95 MSRP
rear sets= 339.00
Graves fender eliminator kit= 89.99 MSRP

That comes up to be 1970.77........

Now they are saying I NEED reciepts for ALL of those parts to get a PENNY for them, I bought the bike in Ocr 04 as an 05 model... got all these within the 1st 3 weeks of owning the bike.

Anyway I can prove any of this shit to them so I can get the money I deserve so I can pay on my R1???? Oh yeah, and ANY reciept has to be on buisness letterhead not just any peice of paper.... I FIXED ALL THE SHIT MYSELF! WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GET RECIEPTS???

i know a few people that got receipts of other peoples parts because they lost theirs. So ask around and see who has receipts. Its not lying if you actually had the parts. I would do this in your situation and i have known people that have...

I would definitely go to the base legal office and see if they can help you at all. Do you have USAA by any chance ?? It doesn't sound like it. If you do, I've never had a problem with them.

I cannot provide you with receipts for you to turn into the insurance company, that is wrong and illegal. I can provide you with receipts for what I paid for parts that I had....maybe they will help as a reference :wink: My receipts come out to a much higher total though....

I have receipts for a Blue Flame High Mount Exhaust, Flushmount Turn Signals, Integrated Rear Tailight, Fender Eliminator Kit, Pazzo Levers, Windscreen, and much much more.
