I found this rather suspicious Yamaha on Craigslist.org today. It could be someones stolen bike. If by chance you go look at it, get the VIN # and have it run through CrimeStop.

its probably legit given the wrecked can in the background and missing subframe. Also its a 99-02 not an 03!

yeah but usally they clean them up to make them look newer so they sell faster and they can pull the ad faster.
but i combined that with the dented can and lack of sub frame.
Simple thing is to call and see if he has a clean title, if he does then it should be fine.

I found at the Attorney Generals website this nice link. You can run the VIN and or Licnese plate #'s off of any vehicle in Arizona. It tells you if the vehicle is stolen or legit. Let's not turna blind eye to the fact that over 71,000 motorcycles were stolen in the US last year alone. Fact: one motorcycle gets stolen every 8-9 minutes. Also please continue to keep an eye out for a 1995 CBR900RR, black with silver flames. There aren't too many 95's running around anymore on the streets, so please check it out if you see one. The VIN is JH2SC2804SM302362. Reward if found. It would be personal if it happened to you.

that doesn't mean much on craigslist anymore. When i was selling my car a couple of the posts got flagged for no apparent reason. People run around just flagging for fun now.
Some people will even flag down things just because they are selling the samething but at a higher price and don't want lower price competition.

haha, that's kinda funny I guess, people flagging for no good reason. It does suck for the person who's being legit though.
