For the military people here or ex-military people that are eligible for USAA, you need to get it. They just lowered the rates for Arizona.
I also just turned 25 and my new insurance is $475 cheaper every 6 months. 06' Silverado-Full Coverage, 04' R6-Full Coverage, 89' Ford, all for only $114 a month. So anybody that can get it I highly recommend it. Sorry if you can't :(

My fiancee is a claims adjuster for USAA, so I get those rates as well. However not that low. What limits do you carry?

I've got USAA. They're so low because they are federally funded. That's why they're closed to DOD employees. Most companies can't compete. I haven't found one yet that can for my auto. Unfortunately they don't have a motorcycle department. They run bikes through progressive on another policy ... at least that's what they told me over the phone. And progressive's rates suck, which is why my bike is with Country Ins

progressive doesn't suck for me, I got a pretty good deal on my bike and car, I saved a couple hundred for both. but, then again, they are both old and it's not full coverage

I think he falls under the grandfather clause. They took away motorcycle insurance back in '05. I know, because I just bough my R1. I was completely mad. I had my F4 under USAA, but when I got back from Hawaii, they stopped in Arizona. Oh well.

first thing you have to shop for is if some companies even insure sport bikes... i know AAA doesnt
are they writing new policies for motorcycles again in AZ? Last time I checked w/ them they would only honor previous ones but wouldn't write a new one.

they were almost double State Farm here in OR. We had all the cars and house at progressive when i got my bike and they were 4 times more (518 vs 2000). Even my dad who has been riding for 20+ years was more at progressive then elsewhere

No its not a new policy, I started it in AZ on Aug. of 05, before that it was an England policy. So yeah I might be grandfathered. If I were to get another bike would they not insure it then ??

I carry 100,000/300,000 and $250 deductible.

Well, so far the cheapest I found for motorcycles is through State Farm. $960 per year came out to about $80 per month. This is for 100/300/100 with uninsured and underinsured. Deductibles at $500 and medical for $2k. That's what I pay Geico for my car with the same coverages. This is for the 07 R6 and no riding experience. I heard somewhere that State Farm looks at the size of the bike and not riding experience. Can this be true?

Progessive wants almost 6K a year for my bike for full coverage...I'm gonna swith over to GEICO because they want 2300 a year for 500K/350K/500K and 10K in additional equipment...

USAA isn't writing any new motorcycle policies (last I checked). Only way to get insured through them is if you already had a motorcycle policy before they stopped.
...but they were a 1/3rd of the price of the next cheapest company when I was shipping for insurance a few years back. ($42/month on a '00 ZX-12R, full coverage $500/$500 deductible, 100/300 coverage). The insurance went up when I moved out here but it's still pretty cheap compared to anyone else I talked to. I think I'm paying $30/month on my DR-Z.

CletusFD3s (http://www.devil-riders.com/vb/member.php?u=192) - You're not alone. I am currently looking for a new insurance policy however so far not so good considering I've wrecked...err....All suggestions are welcomed. I will most likely need to find a decent paying job if I want to keep riding.
