Alright... sorry for making you all wait. Here how it was done.
1 - I went to a leather shoe repair shop and bought 2 cans of leather spray dye.
2 - Using a rag soaked in varsol, I rubbed all the yellow spots to take off any leather treater and any excess dye.
3 - Taped off all the areas I didn't want to dye.
4 - Sprayed on the leather dye. I did 3 or 4 coats, until I had even coverage.
5- Let it dry for about a week. I hung mine over a space heater.
I've ridden in the rain, I've lowsided and the dye is still on there (I dyed it 3 years ago). The yellow is starting to show through in some areas though, like the elbow joints... but it still looks good from a distance.
