This is a nice little ride for a breakfast run in Payson. The scenery gradually changes from brown to green, and you’ll be there before you know it. A good choice if you want a relaxing ride through fast sweepers (throttling past the choppers, of course) and don’t have time to do a full day ride out of Phoenix.

a great spot for breakfast is the bee-line cafe...its down the hill about 1/2 mile-1 mile into town, it'll be on the right hand side if your coming from phoenix. great breakfast, served til 11. lots of food and cheap...maybe 6-7 bucks tops for a huge meal

Did the same run on Wednesday...http://www.devil-riders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10497
Be aware, there's lots of construction delays on the southbound side,
with several areas where traffic is coned down to one lane..:frusty:

It was a beautiful run, though...:thumb:
I just chose to go to Campe Verde via State Route 260 and then I-17 home,
rather than deal with the construction-related traffic.

Enjoy! :beerchug:
