Alright well since some people seem annoyed I guess I will explain what's going on...

Basically, the host that we were on for the last year and a half sucked and did not monitor their server usage. So that is why the site was crashing multiple times per day; because we kept overloading the server.

So we switched to a new host. The new host actually monitors their servers and we are using 28% of a server that is shared by 8 people...with the search(new posts) feature alone taking up 12% of that.

Currently, our hosting costs $120 per year. Not too bad. However, to switch to a dedicated server(our own), at minimum, will increase that to $1000 per year....and to buy a server and set it up at my house would cost at least $900 for the machine and $80 per month for cox business internet.

So we have a couple different ideas on the table and will be decided on by next week.

Hang tight.

New Posts does the same thing the search button does.. it requires the server "search" for any and all new posts so he disabled it for the time being.

i've seen sites get to the point where they have to encourage usage of google search on the site, and avoidance of the 'new posts' search... guess we've gotten there. congratulations to us? haha

we'll get it fixed eventually. might take some money.
