Maybe one of you moderators will be kind enough to sticky this thread. :)
This is a website run by the Attorney Generals Office of Arizona. You can type in any vehicles VIN and or License Plate #'s to see if the vehicle has been reported as stolen in Arizona.
http://theftaz.azag.gov/
This is an informative website on what you can do to not become a victim of motorcycle theft. It may sound goofy or dumb, but believe me if you do what they say, the chances of your bike being stolen will drop significantly.

Bike theft costs everyone, we all become victims via higher insurance premiums.

Get an alarm, it wil cost as less as 150 bucks. Since there are so many bikes with no alarms, they will leave yours alone as soon as it starts beeping and go to the one that has no alarm.

I've been thinking about an alarm ... maybe I'll get one. Too many stories of theft.

Known drug user, James Bower, age 26 of Phoenix Arizona was arrested on February 21st, 2007 by Phoenix P.D. Wow.. maybe they let him out so they can follow him and get some others who may be guilty of being an accomplice? That's the only rational explanation I can possibly come up with for such a low bail.

Go to www.jcmotors.com (http://www.jcmotors.com) and look for the same alarm, same options and all. They have an eBay store too. I picked up the alarm with the prox sensor, battery backup, ignition kill switch, and wiring harness for $322.98 shipped via UPS. Waterproof pager for $40 more. They're located in So Cal, so it gets to AZ in two or three days. Well worth the $$$.

Update: I'ts been a while since i've posted here. I got my bike back from Phoenix P.D. They found it in the city of Glendale when they were on some detail there. I think it must have been a car theft detail they were on. Anyhow i got it back a month after it was stolen, and man was it thrashed. I had to repair all the fairings and repaint the bike. A bunch of other new oem parts had to be replaced also. All told to date it's cost me around $1000 to fix the damage myself. I have an alarm then and now, battery was dead the night they stole it.
Some may laugh, but i picked up a new alarm system for bikes for $30! It has everything, but a pager. Kills the engine, can also remote kill the engine, starts the engine, tip sensor via 3 way adjustable sensitivity sensor. A buddy of mine tried to install the same alarm on his fuel injected CBR929RR and it wouldn't work for him... he probably didn't know what he was doing is why. The alarm is waterproof also as is the siren. If your interested in one pm me.

See my take on the whole lojack thing is that I don't want it back after it been molested by a thief. I pay for great coverage, IF my bike comes up missing I will get a new one...hopefully lol, the ins industry isn't to far of a cry from the credit card industry.
I have one of those $140 NY Kryptonite chains and they have a similar cash offer as well.

Anyone know where I could get these alarms installed PROPERLY? Or are they not hard to install on a bike compared to how hard it is on a car?

i was thinking of getting the $30 one from www.helmetharbor.com (http://www.helmetharbor.com) it seems easy to install.. but then again it doesn't have all the bells and whistles.. just if someone stands your bike up it goes off.. has the warning light.. stuff like that. I wouldnt think the full blown ones are as hard as a car.. but there are plenty of little shops that would do it for you i'm sure i use this small place called Painters ATV performance.. its on priest just north of elliot

stealthninja05 mentions a great alarm.

I have Scorpio i500s, one on my street bike, and one on my track bike. I highly recommend it. The trackbike alarm protects the bike, trailer, and tool box while parked at trackday motels

The Scorpio i500 has a pager built in to the remote, so it will notify you if the alarm is tripped (up to 1/2 mile away). That's very handy if you park your bike in an apartment complex or while parked at the mall, school, etc.

Like stealthninja05 mentions, the i500 comes with OEM connector kits for most bikes, so it's plug-and-play, install in less than an hour.
Even without the connector kit, I switched it from one bike to the other in about two hours using the supplied universal install kit.
The manufacture (Aritronix) is local. Their office is in Scottsdale, 16055 N Dial Blvd., near Scottsdale Rd and Bell Rd/Frank Lloyd Wright . . .

I visited their office several years ago to view their demo when I was first shopping for an alarm. I've been back several times since, and they are always helpful.
Hope this helps.

i wanna find an alarm that will taze someone that tries to steal my bike, either that or have a shotgun barrel pop out from the gas tank and shoot them in the neck, then have kickstands eject to make sure the bike stays standing

Lojack is a great investment. Do you know how much that is monthly to track it? I know there are atleast 2 different kinds you can purchase. My brother is certified to install them on cars

Be advised that LoJack only works in major areas. And yeah, while they do pay you, they don't pay the bike off, they pay like $3000 I think it is if you buy your bike brand new from the dealer.
