If you are looking to purchase a motorcycle, ATV, or watercraft please take this advice: STAY AWAY FROM ANY RIDE NOW POWER SPORTS LOCATIONS OR ANY COMPANY THEY OWN OR RUN. I say any, but my dealings with them were at their Surprise, Arizona location; they are also located in Tucson, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Dallas, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Ocala. However I feel that if one location treats their customers the way I was treated, then it's company policy, as I have heard stories from other locations in the Phoenix Area. Sad thing is, that they own the majority of bike shops in the area and are lovingly referred to as the 'Motorcycle Nazi’s' from the local residents here in Phoenix.

I would also like to mention that they also own Coulter Cadillac and Arrowhead Harley Davidson here in the Phoenix area.

My story is simple, I was screwed over big time!

I was driving an ’02 Jeep Wrangler, GREAT vehicle except for the fact that it got only 15 mpg on the highway, other than that… I loved it. With gas prices 2.30+ per gallon, I wanted something economical on gas. What gets better gas mileage than a motorcycle right?

Out here in Surprise it is still growing, so there is not a whole lot here compared to Phoenix itself. I was looking to stay in the West Valley so that when I needed servicing that I would not have to drive too far. I ended up going to Ride Now Power Sports for that very reason. If I had known then what I know now…I would have made the trip elsewhere.

When I originally went in I was looking to get a Triumph America. I found out that they were no longer allowed to sell the Triumph, as Triumph pulled their license from Ride Now and they were no longer allowed to sell them. That should have been a warning sign of what these people were about. But, hey, I was there and they were close so I looked at other options.

I saw a Suzuki M50 that was on sell for 4,900.00. It was brand new, not a bad looking bike so I decided to get it. As soon as I informed my salesman that this was the bike I wanted, it was sold out from under me. I was told that it was not a problem and they had 3 more in the warehouse. Ok, cool, next step…We run credit.

It was late in the day so there was a delay in this. I was informed that someone would get back to me later that evening and heard from no one. Sign number two that Ride Now Power Sports was not someone to deal with.

Still, that was a great price and the bike was decent and I continued.

I go back in the next day and guess what… No more M50’s for that price. Ok, let’s look used.

I finally find a bike, A 2002 Yamaha Roadstar Warrior. On to the next step.

Everything is going well until we get to finalizing the deal. I found out that a friend had recently purchased a bike there and told me about a tire warranty. Cool, sounds like something good to have since tires for a bike are a lot higher than a car. I ask both my salesman and finance manager about this and they looked at me like I was crazy. “There is no such warranty that would cover a wearable part”, they said as they both stood in front of me.

I stated to them that a friend had just purchased a bike from them and had one. Again, they both said… “There is no such warranty that would cover a wearable part”. Not seeing the warranty, maybe my friend was mistaken so I dropped it and we proceeded and I get my bike.

1st day out I get a flat. I am 35 miles from home and need to have it towed. The tow was 200.00 and the new tire 210.00 for a total of 410.00 for a 35 mile ride.

So I get the bike towed back to the dealership and guess what… they have no tire in stock and it’s going to take a week to get it in. Keep in mind, I had the bike 1 day. I expressed that I wanted to get riding and they agreed to overnight me a tire.

In the meantime, I run into my friend and we discuss the warranty issue. He told me that yes he did have a tire warranty and showed me the paperwork. Now I am getting a little HOT so the next morning, I called their corporate office and let them know of the situation.

I ended up getting the tow and the tire for free, but the fact that I was lied to was still bothering me.

When I went to pick up my bike I ask the finance manager about his statement in regard to the warranty. Now his excuse was that if they would have offered it to me, it would have raised my payment. Please keep in mind, this warranty is only 100.00. Another lie because he originally told me there was no such warranty to cover a wearable part… remember?

The bike is now back in my possession and I am happy again. I am done dealing with Ride Now Power Sports, except for service, but that is all covered under the warranty and if I need anything else, I will go elsewhere.

A month passes and I get an envelope in the mail. I open it and there is a check for 718.00. It was a refund because they over charged me on my sales tax. I mean come on, you are a finance manager and you can’t calculate sales tax?

Another couple weeks go by and I get another envelope, another check… this time it was a refund because I was overcharged for my tags and title…. How do these people get their jobs when they can’t even add… GEESH!!!!

So again, if you are looking to get a motorcycle, ATV, watercraft or Cadillac, STAY AWAY FROM ANY COMPANY OWNED BY RIDE NOW POWER SPORTS or prepare to be screwed!
