tanning for guys???

as you all know its starting to get hot out and the pool seasons about to open and i was looking in the mirror and noticed im white as hell...i considered going to a tanning salon but i wanted to see if that would be to GAY...so what does everyone think...is tanning for guys gay???

never done it for no reason... although i went like 6 times back in High school in March. I did it for swimming as we had the Nationals Meet in Florida. As we all know sunburns drain an enormous amount of energy and being on a pool deck all day in Florida after a nice cold Michigan winter wasnt smart. My swim coach payed for it all also...

But in your situation go outside for a bit... wash and wax the bike with no shirt... play some volleyball... go hiking... ect

Maybe this'll make you feel more comfortable: I get manicures and pedicures on a regular basis (manicures bi-weekly; pedicures monthly). I've got a membership to a tanning bed as well. And guess what ... I'm hetero. :cool:

If you go tanning before a vacation it is a good idea, but dont try it 3 days before. You have to start 2 weeks before and go 2 times a week. It gives you a base tan so you dont burn as easy.

Not just your regular sports coat.. i know what your taking about and i know its a thing of the past now... your thinkin more of the relaxed type with the suede elbow pads and such... As for the nice ones go into J Crew, Nords, Banana Republic, Club Monoco, ect and you will only see really nice wool, suede, and fine corduroy.

You gotta remember your also reading a mag that promoted the frat boy pink polo with a popped collar look ;). If you wanna read on what in/out for guys take a look at GQ. Some of the stuff is a bit extreme but most of the stuff is nice.
