Sub-forum for Introduction

I'm new to the area and would like to find others in the Mesa area that also attend ASU (I'm a transfer student...need I say living in Mesa?!?!), or at the very least find others that ride from the Mesa area. I suppose I could troll the forums and search keywords such as Mesa, wings, beer, ASU, etc. but, I gotta admit I'm just that kind of lazy.

Has a sub-forum of the Introduction forum for the area (East Valley, West, etc...or even primary city specific Mesa, Chandler, Glendale, Scottsdale, etc) been thought of or does this idea have an Achilles' heel? Other than data and server issues, I can only thing of a couple reasons why this might be construed as a bad idea.

you can vote were your at in the valley according to the map in the post and then you can click the numbers in the poll and see what members live in the same area that you do....

Most of the time just post something up and you will get people from all over the valley that show up.

the admins just had the site rebuilt and are currently still fixing bugs and putting together all of the little pieces, we only just got the smileys a couple days ago.
