At the time I clicked it, I had NO IDEA that it was a local group in phx. Just coincidence. I coulda easily passed it up, and I'm so glad I didn't cuz you guys are some of the coolest guys I've ever met without actually meeting you guys face to face. I wanna thank you guys for welcoming me into the forums even though I haven't been able to come to any meets due to being "here". But...I'm really lookin forward to meeting all you guys next month. Hopefully I'll get to meet a majority of you in the two weeks I'll be home. Thanks again guys. You guys got a really good thing going here. Props to all who have made it this way

Here's my roundabout story of how I joined....
I had been riding for about 3 years at that point and I guess I had been looking for some kind of group to ride with since all I had done is commuting to ASU. I talked to one chick in the "illegal" motorcycle lot at ASU and she told me about a group that sorta is gone, but still on facebook. So I joined that and waited and waited and waited until Jerry sent messages to everyone and I helped him out by sending messages to my bikerchick facebook group, which no one joined from there anyway, but whateva! And so, yeah...I joined from the start of DR, way back in the day.

i was told about the site from the guy who sold me the bike at metro motor sports (ride now) just wanted to say hi i am 33 married with 2 kids looking for people to ride with in the phoenix area just got a new kawasaki z1000 and dont know where to ride or if there are any good bike nights anywhere :confused:

YESH.

To save the extra money for the high gas prices this year and the heat, the official bike nights are every other weeks, being on a wed/ thurs following the previous week. Thus this way is to encourage EVERYONE from all over to attend as many meets as they can, and so on.

The unofficial bike nights are pretty much... where ever, whenever, whatever day has been decided (hopefully not on the same night as an official bike night)

I was getting new tires and rear shoes last saturday (7/12) at Hi Output Motorsports and a guy showed up to get a new chain and sprocket, he had "Devil-Riders.com" on his windscreen so I thought I would check it out... Plus a friend of mine told me a while back that that the Devil Riders have really safe and well organized rides...

I met carmen on azsportsbike.org and was moving back to Ariz. and she told me about it and I joined. Met a few peeps a couple times and great people. Had some good support with answers here or there.

I promote that if you are a new rider, or know a new rider. Sites like this have a hell of alot of knowledge packed into them and you should push for others to join for support, questions, concerns or anything of interest.

I see alot of new riders on the street and within 100 yards, I can view many mistakes that could easily be corrected if they asked or a ride with others that have some experience.

So here I am...

Only Met Rich last night, as I was the late comer and missed the ride to TMP. After eating I cruised over there, but could find anyone, saw 2 bikes with passengers turning at the light like they were leaving, so I just left.. :(
