Yea i always have to have a project going...

Anyways heres the start to my rear stand. I made one at home the same way and it turned out great. Anyways it is made using 1in dia tube and will pick up the rear of the bike by the swing arm spools. Anyways it will cost about $30 in supplies and about 4 hours of work to make. Tonight I cut everything, bent the tubes and welded everything together. You cant tell but the main "U" shaped part is actually 2 pieces that are welded together, then the handle is welded to the fab'd "U". The handle has been placed and welded so that when the bike is on the stand it will sit about 3/4in off the ground. This way you can get your hands under it to take the bike off. Here is what it looks like now and no the uprights arn't welded yet as i have to fab the wheels on first. The brown is only a metal primer to resist rust.

Anyways im going to try to make the swing arm spool pick up parts adjustable if I can but it all depends on the steet i can get my hands on, this way other people can use it at my place if needed.

Im down for that but at the same time its hard to teach all the things you need to know. To do this I used a MIG welder, Horizontal Band Saw, Tube Bender, Drill Press, Angle grider with a few different bits...ect. If you have experience with some of these it wouldnt be a problem...

Here is the finished result painted and all... im a perfectionist haha

You could use rollerblade wheels but it looks like they are just cheap plastic ones from home depot or something. Either way nice work Jerry!!

this one is flux core... wish it was argon as i had to grind off a bit of splatter. Its is a 110v but honestly I havent used it enough to do SS. Im used to a 220 gas Mig, but your better off finding a Tig to do stainless as its just so damn soft.
